Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the stale bread into 1-inch cubes. If the bread is very hard, you can slightly dampen it to make cutting easier.
In a large bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Sprinkle garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper over the bread cubes. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the croutons are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely before storing or using.
