Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, diced celery, red onion, and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix well until combined.
Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the consistency by adding more mayonnaise if needed.
Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry with a paper towel. Arrange them on a serving plate.
Spoon the tuna salad onto the center of each lettuce leaf. Add avocado slices and cherry tomatoes if desired.
