Rinse the millet under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes any bitterness.
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed millet and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Once the millet is cooked and water is absorbed, stir in the milk, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Cook for another 5 minutes until creamy.
While the porridge cooks, wash and slice the berries if needed.
Remove the porridge from heat and let it sit for 2 minutes to thicken.
Divide the porridge into bowls, top with fresh berries, and sprinkle chia seeds if desired. Serve warm.
