Adjust consistency: While blending, gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the hummus reaches your desired creamy consistency.
Taste and adjust: Stop blending and taste the hummus. Adjust seasoning with more salt, lemon juice, or cumin if needed.
Prepare the pita bread: Warm the pita bread in a toaster, oven, or on a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side until soft and slightly toasted.
Serve: Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika and chopped parsley. Serve immediately with warm pita bread.
